Kolli Hills - This place is situated 50 Kms from Namakkal, I visited this place for a weekend trip with my friends without any expectations but it turned out to be a good decision. If your visiting this place, please take your own vehicle (Bike/Car) because you will enjoy the 72 hairpin bends, as far to my knowledge the best route i have seen. There are 2 routes basically, if you go via google maps it will show you a shortcut which does not have the 72 hairpin bends and that is utter waste by going through that route, the original 72 hairpin bends route have a check post which collects 50 rs for your car, make sure you choose this route. Make Proper selection route in the google map or else ask the locals for actual government bus route. 
You can reach the destination in an hour without any breaks (destination place is Sollakadu in kolli hills. There would be maximum of 6 resorts and few lodges and i would say go directly and book for cheaper rooms rather than booking through online. We stayed in PA resort which has all kinds of rooms preferred by you, there would be other resorts as well. Just bargain in person for a cheaper room. You will have limited mobile signal in this place, only Vodafone, BSNL are service providers which work that too Vodafone only in few selective places. All the shops will get closed by maximum 9 PM and you will have limited hotels to get your food, so make sure you plan you food facility first and moreover the restaurants will charge you much higher than the normal cost. You will have 5-10 small hotels where you will get good food to survive (Note - no big restaurants nor 5 star hotels).

Site seeing places-
- Waterfalls- you will have go through 1300 steps to reach the water falls, main spot to visit as the falls is one of the amazing beauty to take a shower in it. Water force will be little high.
- Temple - Close by to the temple you will have the Shiva temple to visit
- Boating - Worst boating ever, so try to ignore this one
- Trekking - Best place to trek with the amazing beauty, but make sure you have all the available resources and a local guide, this place is prone to lot of snakes.
- Viewpoint - Best place to have a photography session, many does not know that a place like this exist, a small board will be placed close by to bus stand
- Campfire - All the resorts do have campfire with Rs 1500 charged for the same (not individual but as a whole)
- Jack fruit/Honey - The best jack fruit with amazing honey you can get from this place at very cheaper rate. One full bigger size jack fruit will cost you around 100 Rs
